Los Angeles, December 11 – Doug Wood really wanted to create something special for the tenth anniversary of his La Perla Habana line. But he couldn’t.
The special Cameroon wrapper he wanted wasn’t in sufficient supply in 2005, so he had to wait until this year to debut his purple-banded masterpiece, the Black Pearl Morado. “Throughout history,” Wood says, “the color purple – morado – has signified royalty. I believe Morado is the finest cigar we’ve made.”
