REALLY LAST-MINUTE GIFT GUIDEDesperation time is a good time to visit your local smokeshop!

Los Angeles, December 21 – If you’re still worried about a gift for that cigar-smoking friend or associate, help is as close as your nearest tobacconist. And to help with the process, here are a few desperation suggestions that any cigar smoker will appreciate:
  • Cigars: Hoyo de Tradicion sampler:
Retailers who carry the new Hoyo de Tradicion line may have some of the four-cigar samplers with one each of the four sizes of this new line. The sampler box is a keeper all by itself with a glossy white top and a giant Hoyo de Monterrey band. It retails for just $14.65 each plus tobacco and sales taxes.

  • Cigars: Perdomo Reserve Limited Golf Edition Caddy Pack:
Cigars and golf go together, of course, and the Perdomo Reserve Limited Gold Edition Caddy Pack will be a much-appreciated gift as it is one of the few brands which is specifically themed for golf.

The pack includes four of the Perdomo Reserve Limited Golf Edition Double Eagle Tubos (7 inches by 54 ring), four Perdomo Reserve golf balls and a branded cigar cutter. It’s nicely packaged and retails for a modest $40.00 plus tobacco taxes.

  • Cigars: Montecristo Cigar & Pen sampler:
This is an elegant box of five Montecristo blends in the robusto size: original, Montecristo Classic, Montecristo Platinum, Montecristo Serie C and Montecristo White Label, plus a very fine rollerball pen with the Montecristo name on it and a hidden cigar punch on the bottom.

It’s also quite affordable at a retail price of about $64.30 plus local tobacco and sales taxes.

A pen set with a replacement cartridge and spare cigar punch is also available for $75.00 retail.

  • Cigars: Davidoff cigars in cardboard packs:
No cigar enthusiast ever turned up his or her nose at Davidoff. Universally respected, each of the six standard series of the Davidoff line – Aniversario, Classic, Grand Cru, Millennium, Special and Thousand – are offered in small packs of three, four or five cigars.

Among the most beloved: Aniversario No. 3 (6 x 50) in tubes in packs of three for $54.30 retail (plus tobacco taxes), the Millennium Robusto (5 1/4 x 50) in packs of four for $62.40 retail or the Special R (4 7/8 x 50) in a pack of four for $55.60 retail. All will be most gratefully received.

  • Cigars: Romeo y Julieta tubed cigars:
    Altadis U.S.A. makes a number of sizes of the hot-selling Romeo y Julieta 1875 line in tubes and all make great gifts. The Churchill (7 x 50), Clemenceau (6 x 50), No. 2 (6 1/8 x 52 torpedo), Petite No. 2 (5 x 52 torpedo), Romeo’s Court (5 1/2 x 44) and Rothchilde (5 x 50) all come in aluminum tubes in boxes of 10, priced from $55.00 to $70.00 retail, plus tobacco and sales taxes.

In addition, the Deluxe No. 1 (7 x 50) and Deluxe No. 2 (6 x 50) also comes in boxes of 10, but in glass tubes. They’re great gift items at $57.50 for the No. 2 and $60.00 for the No. 1, plus tobacco taxes.
