> Double C (7 1/2 x 50), in a sampler of five for $71.00; > Full Power (6 x 60), five for $71.00; > Leopard (5 1/2 x 55 perfecto with polka dots), five for $71.00; > Obus (5 1/2 x 55 perfecto), five for $66.00; > Petit Torpedo (4 1/2 x 50), five for $47 or try the box of 26 for $234.00. Famous Smoke Shop: The Padilla Series 68 is a medium-bodied cigar of all Nicaraguan tobacco, introduced last year. Here’s the Torpedo (6 1/4 x 52), well-priced in boxes of 20 for $116.99, best in our survey. Holt’s: Not necessarily a steal, but a good deal nonetheless. If you’re always thinking about trying some of the super-hot brands, but your local smokeshop is a little short on Opus X or Padron Anniversarys, Holt’s has the solution. Their “Show Stopper” sampler includes five cigars for $50.00. Not cheap by any means, but you get one each of five cigars every smoker should know: > Ashton Virgin Sun Grown Robusto (5 1/2 x 50); > Don Pepin Garcia Black Label Churchill 1997 (6 3/8 x 49); > Fuente Fuente Opus X Belicoso XXX (4 5/8 x 49); > Padron Anniversary 1964 Torpedo Maduro (6 x 52); > San Cristobal Monumento (7 1/4 x 49). Holt’s also offers “The Usual Suspects,” a six-cigar sampler with an assortment of the hottest blends for $55.00, including: > Arturo Fuente Hemingway Work of Art Maduro (4 7/8 x 60); > Arturo Fuente Sun Grown King “B” (6 x 55); > Ashton VSG Sorcerer (7 x 49); > La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero Hammer (6 1/2 x 47); > Padron Serie 1926 No. 9 Natural (5 1/4 x 56); > San Cristobal Guajiro (6 5/8 x 46). The La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero Hammer is a Holt’s size exclusive, but the blend is the same as the rest of the Double Ligero line. If you want to try some of these hard-to-get cigars, here’s a great way to end the mystery and try them yourself without having to buy a whole box . . . if you can find one! J-R Cigars: The popular C.A.O. l’Anniversarire Cameroon Rothschild (4 1/2 x 40) is on sale this week; boxes of 20 are usually $99.00, but are now $69.00. We’ll have our Register & Win winner of the week announcement tomorrow! Want a free cigar? In the never-ending effort to increase its mailing list, CigarFox.com is promising to send everyone who answers a two-question survey a free cigar. The company sells over the Internet and reports that it sold more than a billion cigars in 2007 and markets its products to more than 500,000 customers. The survey, accessed from the CigarFox.com home page, asks whether smokers have purchased cigars online and asks for suggestions on what improvements are suggested for the CigarFox.com Web site. Naturally, you’ll start receiving bulletins – online and otherwise – from CigarFox.com, but if you want a free cigar (the brand and size of cigar is not specified), that’s the cost. ~ Rich Perelman CLASSIFIED ADVERTISINGCigar Humidors and Cigar Accessories at Humidor Vault!
