Now, the highly-respected Felipe Gregorio lines will be distributed by Miami Cigar, giving Philip Wynne a rest from the sales end. “I was far more valuable to the company in the factory than out selling cigars,” he said.

Wynne’s cigars are made in the Dominican Republic and his brands include the popular Felipe Gregorio “blue band” line, the potent Felipe Power, Felipe 1957 and the new Petrus Prestige Sublime line which garnered considerable interest at the IPCPR show. For the first time, Wynne’s brands will be directly represented by a dedicated sales force, which should increase the visibility of his brands nationally.

For Miami Cigar, already the distributor of Aurora Preferidos, Aurora Cien Anos, Don Lino, La Aurora, Leon Jimenes, Tatiana and others, these distribution agreements give them a full range of cigar styles to offer. It will be interesting to see how their efforts pay off for two well-known cigar makers who simply do not have enough time to create, make and also market their brands.

New “ancient” Habanos humidor now available
Originally announced at the 10th Festival de Habanos in February, the third edition of the Habanos “Antiguo” or “ancient” humidor series has finally been released.

The newest version features the return of the Romeo y Julieta “Romeos,” a perfecto of 6 3/8 inches long by 52 ring gauge that was discontinued in the 1970s. Fifty are available in each of the 250 humidors that were made, a total of just 12,500 cigars of a truly nifty shape.

The humidors themselves are quite elegant, with a fold-down front that reveals two cigar drawers made of Spanish Cedar. The exterior is made of mahogany and the entire lot will be sold only through Casa del Habano stores worldwide.

And the winner is:
