STEALS AND DEALSPlus: Our Register & Win winner of the week!

Los Angeles, August 28 – Way back in 1905, the first Trinidad cigar was introduced in Havana. Who could imagine the struggle that would ensue of this well-respected and popular cigar?

At a very fancy dinner in Havana in February 1998, Habanos, S.A. introduced the long-awaited Trinidad line to the public. The brand had been used only as a diplomatic gift, having been developed in 1969 to replace the commercially-available Cohiba.

However, a “TTT Trinidad” line was introduced on the U.S. market in 1997 and Habanos and members of the Trinidad family continued a dispute over the rights to this trademark in the United States. The end came in 2001 as the Trinidad family finally won their case and perfected their rights to the name and mark for the U.S. market.

Altadis U.S.A. took over full production rights for the brand in 2002 and it’s been one of their prized brands ever since. It’s richly flavored and draws perfectly, a fitting extension of the very well-made brand that was made in Havana.

It’s on sale this week at Famous Smoke Shop, but that’s hardly the only special we saw on tap for this week:

AtlanticCigar.com:
